1. Data controller

The Company complies with Jordan's Personal Data Protection Law No. 24 of 2023 and its instructions.

2. What we collect

• When you create an account: your phone number (verified by SMS), the name you type, the app language and the app version.
• Consent record: the date and time you accepted each version of the Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy, the version number, and the language it was shown in.
• Usage data: a random device identifier created on first launch, and usage events inside the app: the screens you open, searches, products you open or add to your list or favourites, sharing a list, opening shop pages, and session length.
• Reports: what you write when reporting a mistake, and contact details if you choose to add them.
• Technical data: operating system and version, and the network address (IP) at the time of a request, to protect against abuse.

We do not collect payment data (there are no payments today), precise location, or contacts.

3. Why we use it

• To run your account and verify you by SMS.
• To evidence your acceptance of the legal documents.
• To understand how the app is used, improve it and fix mistakes.
• To answer your reports and messages.
• To protect the service from abuse.
• In future: to manage subscriptions if any; we will tell you before any change.

The legal basis is your explicit consent at sign-up, the performance of the service you asked for, and our legitimate interest in protecting and improving the service.

4. Who we share it with

• SMS provider: your phone number is passed to the verification-SMS provider to send the code, and for nothing else.
• Hosting provider: data is stored on servers we rent, which may be outside Jordan, under our duty to protect it.
• We do not sell your data and do not share it with the shops shown or with advertisers.
• We may disclose data where the law requires or a competent authority demands it.

5. How long we keep it

• Account data and the consent record: for the life of the account; afterwards the consent record is kept (without phone number or name) as evidence that consent was given.
• Usage data: up to 24 months, then deleted or anonymised.
• Reports: until handled and up to 24 months after.

6. Your rights

You may access your data, correct it, ask for its deletion, withdraw consent, object to a particular processing, and complain to Jordan's personal data protection authority. You can delete your account inside the app (Account screen) or write to support@dirwaas.com; we answer within 30 days.

7. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), store session tokens only as hashes, and limit access to authorised people. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify you as the law requires if a breach affects your data.

8. Children

The app is not directed at people under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the new version is shown in the app and must be accepted to continue. The version number and date appear at the top.
